Ministries
Prayer and worship are the heart of First Sterling, where we cultivate a Kingdom-first mindset and a Christ-centered community. We offer a variety of ministries and opportunities for involvement, like ushering, senior visits, food ministry and Children's Church. Our calendar also includes dedicated time for prayer, guided Bible study, and fellowship through our Men’s and Women’s Ministries. Everyone is welcome to grow with us in faith!
Giving Ministry
Our goal is to help adults, youth, and children grow in their knowledge of God and their purpose in the Body of Christ. As Ephesians 4:11-12 reminds us, God equips His people for ministry and the edification of His church. Through giving, we honor One Lord, One Faith, and One Baptism, uniting in purpose to serve and uplift others.
We encourage a spirit of generosity through our Giving Ministry, which supports church programs and outreach efforts. Regular donations help us serve our community and further God’s work. Everyone is welcome to grow with us in faith and giving!
If you have a heart for worship and a commitment to serve, we invite you to be part of our Praise and Worship Team! We’re looking for dedicated individuals who are willing to attend rehearsals every Saturday and help lead our congregation in praise & worship. Use your gifts to glorify God and create an atmosphere of worship—come sing and worship with us!
Meeting Day/Time: Rehearsal on Saturdays at 11 am for Sunday Service worship at 11am
Adult Praise Team
The AV Ministry supports the AV Department by enhancing the worship experience through operational excellence. Their goal is to ensure the best possible sound quality and online viewing, making the worship experience outstanding for all attendees.
Meeting Day/Time: Saturdays 11am/Sundays 10am before service

Audio Visual Media Ministry
Members are welcome to sing traditional gospel music, hymns and spirituals along with our regular praise and worship team every 4th Sunday. Perfect for those who would like to sing but can’t commit to rehearsal every Sat.

The Social Justice Ministry educates and empowers individuals to engage in elections, align their votes with Christian values, and address key social issues. The team hosts events and workshops on informed voting, advocacy, and faith-based civic engagement.

Our Ushers Ministry plays a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming worship experience at First Sterling Church! Their quiet yet impactful service helps everyone feel comfortable and cared for — from assisting with seating, to providing essentials like envelopes, fans, or tissues.

Passionate about fitness and wellness? We're looking for volunteers to help lead workouts, challenges, and share health tips as we honor God’s temple. Your involvement can make a difference in encouraging a healthier community. If you're interested, join us!

Fitness Ministry
Volunteer to lead our 5-minute Morning Glory Prayer every weekday as we start the day with praise, giving thanks to God, and interceding for our church family in faith. Lift up prayer requests received from our members, interceding to God for breakthroughs, healing, and divine intervention on their behalf.

Prayer Warriors Ministry
The Senior Care Ministry honors and supports First Sterling Church seniors through visits, calls, and community resources. We offer encouragement, assist with social services, and provide meals and gifts during special occasions like Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Senior Care Ministry
A community-based program designed to support high school juniors, seniors, and their families, as they navigate the transition to life after high school graduation. We help them with making informed decisions regarding next steps in the educational process.

The great work being done at First Sterling is captured by the Photography Ministry. Whether you’re a novice or professional photographer, use your talents to showcase First Sterling’s pulse and essence through photographs displayed on social media and some publications.

Elevate Events Ministry
Be a blessing to those in need! We’re looking for volunteers to donate their time once a month to help distribute free food, take inventory, pack and stock items, and assist with intake forms. Your time and effort will make a difference in feeding families and showing God’s love through service. Join us in being His hands and feet!
Meeting Day/Time: Every 3rd Sat from 8:30am to 12 pm and as needed.
